A clearer way to choose an API.
STT Directory is a working reference for comparing speech-to-text APIs on the integration details that shape a real shortlist.
What we track.
Every provider profile uses the same core fields: listed price, language coverage, real-time streaming, speaker diarization, free-tier availability, and models.
That does not make every API interchangeable. It gives the comparison a consistent starting point before you move to the primary documentation.
Method before metrics.
We show what is known, mark what is not, and only add accuracy or latency comparisons when the evidence can be compared on the same basis.
A reference, not a verdict.
The directory is meant to make the next question clearer, not to replace technical validation. Provider pages link out to first-party materials so you can confirm the details that matter to your use case.
Pricing, language, streaming, and diarization fields are verified against each provider’s primary sources, which every profile lists. Accuracy and latency stay empty until they can be measured on the same basis.
Who operates this directory.
STT Directory is operated by Telnyx, which also appears as one of the listed providers. Telnyx is ranked by the same rules as every other provider, and no provider pays for placement.
Listings are compiled from each provider’s public pricing and documentation so buyers can compare like for like.
